To determine if you may be eligible for a Private Loan without a co-signer, you must meet the credit and income criteria along with our 2-2-2 rules: 2 years of U.S. residency U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and have resided in the U.S. for the previous two years. 2 years of year round, continuous employment Satisfactory employment history for at least two years, OR, if self-employed, you have been in business for at least two years. 2 years of satisfactory credit history If you meet the criteria above without a co-signer, please continue. If you do not meet the criteria above, but you wish to apply with a co-signer, please continue.   Additional Tips: Generally, the borrower’s annual income must meet or exceed the requested loan amount. An International Student may apply for a Private Loan with a qualified creditworthy co-signer who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
