Admissions 101
Admissions 101

Applying for college can be stressful the first time around because you are not familiar with the process. The following steps will help you with the application process. However, you should always contact an admissions representative from the college, university, vocational school or technical school you plan to attend so you're aware of their expectations.

  • Complete the Admission Application for the institution(s) you may wish to attend.
  • As a high school senior, have your ACT or SAT scores sent directly to the Admission Office of the institution(s) to which you are applying.
  • Request that an official transcript from your current school (high school or college) be sent to the Admission Office of the institution(s) to which you are applying.
  • Upon graduation from high school or after completing the current semester at another college/university, ask the school to send a final transcript to the Admission Office of the institution(s) you plan to attend.
